Limpopo Province (formerly Northern Transvaal) is named after the Limpopo River, second in size to the mighty Orange. It is a land-locked province located at the top of South Africa which borders onto Botswana in the west and Zimbabwe to it’s north. Home to the Mapunguwe National Park and many game reserves. The Limpopo river serves as a border between South Africa and Zimbabwe and partially so for Botswana. The area is rich in bio-diversity and houses a large farming community. Polokwane, formerly known as Pietersberg is the provincial capital.
